Affiliate disclosure
Some links are affiliate links. If you buy through them we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes how deals are ranked.
How it works
When you follow a link from a deal to a store, that link may be an affiliate link. If it is, and you buy something, the retailer or its affiliate network pays Fair Go Finds a small commission. You pay the same price either way; the commission comes out of the retailer’s margin, not your pocket. This is how the site covers its hosting and the time it takes to run.
What it does not change
- Deals are ranked by votes, clicks and confirmed prices. Whether a link pays a commission plays no part.
- Retailers that pay a commission get the same price checks and the same verdicts as retailers that do not. A “worse” verdict is shown on a paying link exactly as it is on any other.
- No retailer can pay to have a deal listed, kept up, or kept quiet, and none is told about a deal before it is posted.
- Deals that members post with their own referral links must say so in the post, and the site does not swap a member’s link for its own.
Which programs
The site may take part in affiliate programs run by Australian retailers directly and through affiliate networks such as Commission Factory, Impact, Rakuten and Awin. Most links on the site are plain links to the retailer; a link only earns a commission where the retailer has such a program and the site has joined it.
Advertising
There are no display adverts, sponsored posts or paid “featured” deals on the site. If that ever changes, paid placements will be labelled as such and this page will say so first.
Questions
If a deal looks like it was placed for money rather than because it is good, say so in the comments or write to deals@fairgofinds.au. More on who runs the site is on the about page.
